Maria Luisa de Melo dos Santos was born in the municipality of Buritis, State of Minas Gerais, but has lived in Brasília, Brazil's capital, ever since she was three days old. Despite the lack of age, she decided she would study Law at the age of nine, motivated by the simple desire of understanding what was implied behind the headlines of Jornal Nacional, the largest and most watched evening news on Brazilian television. Furthermore, Maria Luisa has been a Pedagogical Coordinator at Wizard by Pearson, a Brazilian language school, for two years, and worked as an English teacher for another five at the very same institution.
